How to get there

Frankfurt (Oder) is the main German border crossing into Poland. There are three border crossings: the motorway bridge for lorries, busses and cars, the rail bridge and the »Stadtbrcke« (town bridge) for cars and foot passengers only.


By car: You can reach Frankfurt from Berlin via the A12 (Exit: Frankfurt (Oder). From Gruben/Forst you get there via the B112, from Bad Freienwalde you take the B112 as well. From the Northeast/Berlin you need to take the B87.

There are many important international trains going to Warsaw and Moscow that stop in Frankfurt. But Frankfurt is also well integrated into the regional rail infrastructure. The following trains stop in Frankfurt:

  • OE 36: Frankfurt Beeskow Wendisch-Rietz Knigs Wusterhausen Berlin-Schneweide
  • OE 60: Frankfurt Werbig Wriezen Bad Freienwalde Eberswalde Berlin-Lichtenberg
